Music Performance

A number of Music students from Wodonga Senior Secondary College participated successfully in the recent Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod. Bailey Cardwell from Year 11 placed first in the “17 Years and Over Senior Piano Championship”.

In the “Open Rock Band” category, WSSC took 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in a very competitive section that had 9 bands. Well done to Aiden Cooper, D’arcy Hale, Angus Johnson, Erin Mcintosh, Dennys Reeb, Joe Taylor, Dylan Zurek, Jonathan Columbera, Lachie Dowell, Liam Geard, Josh Jones-Watts, Zac Ryan, Candice Tassie, Michael Willcox and Maddi Witt.

Students from the Year 12 Vocal Ensemble came second in the “Vocal Groups”category. Amelia Banks, Erin Mcintosh, Ally Royer-Lewis, Emily Strachan & Edmund Titterton sang beautifully, competing against and outscoring many larger vocal groups.

A huge congratulations to all of the students involved, not just on their outstanding results but also their tremendous conduct throughout the day. Well done to all participants.

 Dance

Our Dance troupe placed second out of fifteen others in their section. Five of our students also competed in the own choreography section with over twenty other students. For some of our students this was the first time that they have ever performed a solo, let alone their own choreography in public. As you can imagine they are all extremely proud of themselves, well done girls.
