On Thursday night we were proud to attend the opening night of the Top Arts exhibition 2023 at the National Gallery of Victoria, Federation Square. Wodonga Senior Secondary College 2022 student Clio Waldegrave-Knight was chosen to have her painting ‘Toffee Apple’ exhibited with 38 other students from across the state.

There were 1000 applications from Year 12 Art and Studio Art students and these were short listed down to 140, before the final 38 works were chosen for the exhibition. There was a diverse range of ideas, artworks and materials used in the collection and the opening speaker commented on it being the strongest and most diverse show of student work in some time. I congratulate Clio on this wonderful achievement and the journey that she undertook to get to this end point. The exhibition is on until 9th July 2023.
