This also means that your family will be exposed to the culture and customs where the student come from.<\/p>\n<p>The payment of the homestay is $310 (AUD) per week. This payment covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>three meals a day<\/li>\n<li>facilities \u2013 a bed, wardrobe, towels and linen<\/li>\n<li>all gas, heating, electricity, cooling and water costs<\/li>\n<li>cleaning of common living areas<\/li>\n<li>use of all shared areas in homestay<\/li>\n<li>study facilities \u2013 desk, lamp and bookcase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"title-s title-widget title-widget-grey\" style=\"color: white;\"><strong>Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting host families all year round. Children often enjoy being cultural ambassadors, introducing their new brother or sister to local customs, traditions and national holidays. Sharing culture and traditions help\u00a0families bond, creating\u00a0lifelong friendships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title-s title-widget title-widget-grey\" style=\"color: white;\"><strong>What is expected of host families?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Welcome your student to participate in your family\u2019s daily lives and events<\/li>\n<li>The same care, support and comfort you provide to other members of your family, including meals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"title-s title-widget title-widget-grey\" style=\"color: white;\"><strong>How much will you get paid to host a Student?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A weekly payment of <strong>$<em>290<\/em><\/strong> that covers expenses associated with the provision of the following homestay services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Single bedroom for the student\u2019s exclusive use<\/li>\n<li>Three meals per day, seven days per week (cooked evening meal)<\/li>\n<li>Facilities including a bed, wardrobe, towels and linen<\/li>\n<li>Gas, electricity, heating and water costs<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning services of common living areas<\/li>\n<li>Use of living areas within residence<\/li>\n<li>Study facilities, including a desk, study light and bookcase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"title-s title-widget title-widget-grey\" style=\"color: white;\"><strong>What is a host families financial obligations?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students arrive with their own spending money for social and school activities, clothes, etc. As a host family, you will not need to provide spending money or an allowance.
