YEAR 12 STUDENT AND PARENT\/GUARDIAN PLANNING FOR 2016 AND BEYOND:<\/strong>

\nThere are a number of events coming up this month that may be very helpful for students and their families planning University or TAFE studies. The events are:<\/p>\n

FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS:<\/strong>
\n1. TERTIARY INFORMATION EVENING AT ALBURY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE TUESDAY JUNE 16 6.00 PM TO 8.00 PM Click here to download the invitation<\/a><\/strong>

\na. Displays and conversations with many Victorian and NSW Tertiary providers including:
\nCharles Sturt Uni Latrobe Uni Wodonga TAFE Riverina TAFE Deakin Uni Macquarie Uni ANU ACU AAIE Wollongong Uni Federation Uni Photography Studies College \u2026\u2026. And more

1. Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) from 6.00 pm to 6.45 pm.
\nThis presentation gives an overview of application processes for Victorian TAFE\u2019s and universities
\n2. Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) from 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm
\nThis presentation gives an overview of application processes for NSW and Canberra TAFEs and Universities<\/p>\n

\n2. ON PARENT-TEACHER EVENING THURSDAY JUNE 25: DISCUSSION OF FINANCIAL ISSUES FOR STUDENTS:
\n\u2022 STAYING AT HOME TO STUDY
\n\u2022 MOVING AWAY FROM HOME TO STUDY
\nPresenter is Ilena Young from Charles Sturt University
\nIlena will be available in the Board Room between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm and do brief presentations at 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm.
\nFOR STUDENTS:<\/strong>
\n1. TERTIARY INFORMATION DAY: WEDNESDAY JUNE 17 AT ALBURY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE<\/strong>
\nA huge range of exhibitors representing Victorian TAFEs, Universities, employers and employment agencies will provide information and discuss your needs with you.
\nDetails: A bus will leave school at 10.30 am. You will return by 12.15 pm and catch most of period 3.
\nWhat you need to do: return a consent form and $7 (bus $5 and entry $2) to the office by June 10
\n2. EXPERIENCE LATROBE UNIVERSITY DAY FRIDAY JUNE 19<\/strong>
\nStudents are given an overview of Latrobe University life and course offerings.
\nLatrobe University pays for: bus, morning tea and bus
\nWhat you need to do: Register for the event and select your workshops:
\nhttp:\/\/www.latrobe.edu.au\/experience\/events\/experience-la-trobe-events\/albury-wodonga-program
\nand return a consent form to the office.
\nParents may also attend this event.
\nOTHER IMPORTANT DATES:<\/strong>
\nEARLY ENTRY: This is an excellent opportunity for a student to be accepted into a course before ATAR scores are released. You may get into a course with well less than the ATAR you might need otherwise.
\nSome local Early Entry opportunities
\nLatrobe Uni Aspire: This opens on Monday June 1 and closes on July 27. Jessica Watt from Latrobe will be at school on Monday June 8 to assist students with their applications. Some preliminary information:

\nCharles Sturt Uni PREP: This opens August 5 and close date isn\u2019t published as yet.
\nYou will be advised of dates for other University\u2019s Early Entry programs as they arise.
