{"id":28801,"date":"2018-11-13T15:58:26","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T04:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wssc.vic.edu.au\/?p=28801"},"modified":"2018-11-15T08:30:25","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T21:30:25","slug":"dare-to-dream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wssc.vic.edu.au\/?p=28801","title":{"rendered":"Dare to Dream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Year 10 Unit 1 Business Management classes\u00a0took part in a day-long workshop held at LaTrobe University\u00a0at Albury\/Wodonga campus last week where they learnt that it takes a lot of hard work and determination to be a successful entrepreneur, hearing from two guest presenters throughout the day. The presenters spoke about their\u00a0childhood\u00a0and their upbringing, sharing the journey they took as entrepreneurs owning their own businesses. Students worked in groups to develop elements of a business around the pen as their product which proved to be a very valuable experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2136 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wmyc.vic.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_5135Low1.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5135Low\" width=\"626\" height=\"417\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Year 10 student Noah Crutchfield sharing what he had learnt from last weeks workshop<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Year 10 student Noah Crutchfield said &#8220;It was great for my business management class to get an opportunity like this, to learn about how entrepreneurs make their wealth and how you can still make it even if you have come from nothing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the event, student Sabrina Britton aims to turn her dream into reality saying &#8220;I&#8217;d like to open my own cafe after school&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Dare to Dream workshop allowed the business management students to apply their understanding of the content covered in their classes to a\u00a0real life challenge.
