2016 has been a year of consolidation for the College. It was a pleasure this October to host the 10th year reunion of students who were the first group to graduate from the then newly formed Wodonga Senior Secondary College, which was in 2006. They were amazed by the development that has taken place in the last 10 years. It will continue over the next 10 years, with plans to develop a 2 court Basketball stadium an outdoor science and technology classroom and a leading sporting oval. It’s been a very busy and rewarding year for everyone associated with the College. It’s important for us all to recognise and celebrate our achievements.
To our parents and carers, thank you for supporting the school throughout the year, We do appreciate your assistant through the interest that you have shown in your child’s progress.
The students, the reason why schools exist. Thank you for accepting the challenges presented throughout the year. I recognise the efforts made by every student who has made some progress during the year in mastering a skill or some new challenge that has led to their personal growth. It is our responsibility, as a school to provide and expand the multitude of pathways so that students can successfully complete 13 years of schooling.
The last group but no means the least are the staff and teachers of our school. Teachers create the safe yet challenging environment in which students take risks and experience learning. We are indeed very fortunate to have to have such diverse, talented and committed teachers at the College. I acknowledge their sustained and considerable dedication to our students learning and welfare.
Thank you all for your contribution and I wish everyone all the best of the new year.
