Hi I’m Aleisha and I’m Teaghan and we’re your Wanumarru House captains for 2019. Take this opportunity to look back and reflect on all that you have achieved throughout Term 1.

The year began with our annual house carnivals. In the pool, Nangwiya house made the biggest splash taking out the title of pool champions for 2019. This was followed later in the term by our Athletics carnival, which was a great day of fun for all held in week 9 at the Wodonga Athletics Track. It was a close call but Wanumarru house were able to score the most points on the day, claiming track champions of 2019.

Following the success of the 2018 school production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, this year’s chosen musical is Matilda. This will be the first time that Matilda will be performed by a school within Australia. Rehearsals will start shortly and we look forward to this showcase of our schools talent later this year.

Students have been taking the opportunity to give back to their community through their Impact Projects as part of the Graduate Program. This has seen students organise and participate in a range of events and programs throughout the Term, with some laying the foundation for successful projects to be completed later in the year.

It has been a fantastic start to the 2019 school year. We hope you have a great year and we look forward to representing you as your House Leaders.
