As you may be aware, we have been experiencing an extended delay in delivery of your Dell Ultrabook notebook. These have been on backorder since early January with an extended “Parts shortage” in the Dell factories.
This is a very usual situation, but with the currently health issues around the world is somewhat understandable. We are however not alone in this situation, with many other schools experiencing the same delays with their expected delivery dates well into April.
We have been in contact with Dell Australia daily around options to expedite our order or look at alternative options. On Wednesday, 26th February, we received confirmation that the parts shortage has now been resolved and our notebooks are in production and have been flagged for “VIP Delivery” via air freight. The current ETA is listed on or before the 12th of March, which we believe to be accurate. Once the notebooks land at the school we will work around the clock to ensure they are setup and ready to be picked up by our students.
Please accept our apologies around this very usual delay, however it has been well out of our control.
