We are looking forward to your child starting the 2023 school year at Wodonga Senior Secondary College. Below is some information for a smooth beginning.

Laptop

Please contact the IT Team (02 6043 7500) to discuss any IT needs. If you are yet to purchase a notebook, please do so using the WSSC Notebook Shop available here: http://www.wssc.vic.edu.au/byod

Locker

A locker can be booked via the School Portal once you start school. You’ll need to supply your own lock.

Uniform

Our School Uniform can be purchased at: J&M Clothing located at 176 High Street Wodonga. You can contact them on (02) 6056 3412

Timetable

Individual timetables will be available on the School Portal before the commencement of the Term.

Medical Conditions

– Students with asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or allergic reactions need to provide the College office with an up to date (condition-specific) health management plan. All medication (in its original packaging) needs to be given to the Office before starting.

School Portal – Mobile App

Our College uses the School Portal mobile app to make it easier for parents and guardians to approve activities, view reports, approve absences and access course progress. You can find out more about the app here: https://bit.ly/wsscapp

Fees

Our College does not charge fees (In line with the Dept. of Education Policy). Some subjects have costs associated for optional activities or materials.

Stationary List

The College leaves it up to the individual student/family to decide on what stationary items they will use. This may include a notebook for each class, a folder, writing materials, their calculator from their previous school. Most of the work is covered on the Laptop at the Senior College.

Some additional safety equipment might be required for some classes.

Text Books

The College has shifted to an e-book system through the program Readcloud, commencing in 2023. This means that all textbooks are free and accessible for all students. Staff, students and families will have access to classroom e-books (textbooks) and resources through a direct link on the school portal, titled Readcloud.
