Year 12 VET Sport & Rec Camp 2024

Our Year 12 VET Sport & Recreation students attended a 5-day camp at the Bogong Outdoor School, which ran from the 4th to 8th March where they learnt new skills, tried new experiences and created new memories.

The facilities provided by Bogong Outdoor School were terrific and the support given by their staff was amazing. The activities which our students undertook were well-managed and connected to their in-class learning, the activities completed were mountain bike riding, a high-ropes course, bridge building, rock-climbing, hiking, camping and creek-walking. After each session students were asked to reflect about how they would run the program for their own user groups.

The camp complimented the students class work well. as they have been learning about how to ‘Plan and Conduct Programs’, our students were asked one of the nights to conduct activities for the Year 7 students from Mt Beauty Secondary College. At the end of the night every single Year 7 had nothing but good things to say about all the activities ran by our Year 12 students.
