At WSSC, the Defence School Mentor – DSM Claire Cartwright, offers support to Defence students.
Claire’s goal is to ensure our Defence young people connect not only into the local community, but assists them to build meaningful friendships, self-efficacy, academic success and career pathway options. Claire is your halfway person between you and the rest of the college – Wellbeing, Careers, House Leaders etc. So if you need support with anything whilst at WSSC, please knock on her door (located in the Doctor’s Clinic Tuesday to Friday – LO1 on Monday’s).
As the DSM, Claire understands the challenges within the Defence lifestyle and is here to assist.
Commemorating ANZAC and Remembrance day are a priority in our college. Our students and staff pride themselves in honouring our serving and ex-serving members. Our students lead ceremonies and ensure they are meaningful and memorable, paying tribute to those who have served our country in conflict and peacekeeping operations.
