Di and Wayne Hanby visited the College today to give a presentation to Year 11 and 12 VCAL students about their work for the Albury Wodonga Golden Retriever dog rescue.

Di Spoke about the responsibilities of a Golden retriever owner, urging people to consider the time and effort that is required to look after a Golden Retriever.

“Adopt, don’t shop” said Di giving the students an insight into animal cruelty on ‘Puppy Farms’ and that we need to consider adopting a pet from a shelter or a registered breader.

With over 51 Golden Retrievers being surrendered to shelters and rescue groups like this one in Victoria last year, the need for support grows.
