On Monday our College commemorated National Apology Day with a whole school assembly in Galvin hall. The apology made by Kevin Rudd on February 13th 2008 to the people known as the Stolen Generations and to their families who have suffered is commemorated each year at the College with this year’s event made possible by the partnership between our school and the Wodonga Aboriginal Network.

The event was conducted in the most respectable manner, student Felicity Gillam managed the presentation and welcomed our special guest Ms Trish Cerminara from the Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation who spoke of her personal experience.

I would like to thank our Koori coordinator, Sue Bell for organising this year’s event and student representatives Felicity Gillam, Liam Carroll Pamela Li and Jye McBurnie.
