On Saturday three year twelve Japanese students participated in a Japanese Immersion day held at Scots school Albury. It was an opportunity to put their speaking skills to the test. They introduced themselves to the group and had one on one conversation practice with a variety of native speakers and other Japanese teachers who volunteered for the day. They also got to practice some kanji reading and enjoy a a Japanese lunch of curry with rice. I think all students gained a sense of confidence from this experience and will be able to use this to assist them in their future studies and ultimately their oral exam later this year.
