Wow, what a start to 2020! It has certainly been action packed.
Our Year 10 students have now settled into the College, our Year 11’s are well on their way to completing Unit 1 and our Year 12’s have made great progress to completing Unit 3
We’ve enjoyed the Swimming Carnival, Get Connected, the unveiling of the Acknowledgement of Country plaque and student have participated in many excursions locally and further afield.

But a huge congratulations to our whole school community for embracing the preparations for the possibility of remote learning next term. The College Executive Team would like to acknowledge and thank all staff for their relentless commitment to this planning, preparation and support of students facing this uncertain time in their final years of schooling. You have certainly gone above and beyond business as usual.

Our virtual parent teacher interviews and Trial Remote Learning day were huge successes. The engagement of students, parent/carers and staff has enabled us to create and improve our remote learning methods speedily – thank you for your support.

Where possible, our College staff will be taking a break over the school holidays to spend time with their loved ones and preparing themselves for Term 2.

We are well placed to transition to remote learning if the Department of Education requires our College to do so. If we transition to remote learning we will be mailing an information pack home to all families. We will be in touch via Facebook, the School Portal App and the College Website towards the end of the second week of the school holidays with an update.

We encourage our College community to look out for each other and we look forward to learning in term 2.

Take care,
Wodonga Senior Secondary College Executive Team
