Dear Parent/Guardian,
Due to the lockdown in Term 3, the annual Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) General Achievement Test (GAT) was postponed and a revised date has now been published. The 2021 VCAA GAT for all students undertaking a Unit 3&4 VCE or scored VET subject will be held on Thursday 12 August 2021 from 10.00 am to 1.15 pm.

We have decided that in 2021 we will not hold a trial GAT for our Year 10 and 11 students. Those students in Year 10 or 11 who are currently undertaking a Unit 3&4 or scored VET subject will be expected to attended the VCAA GAT on the 12th of August.

Normal schedule classes will run for all other Year 10 and 11 students on the 12th of August.
We will administer the appropriate assessments in class for Year 10 and 11 students as this data continues to inform our understanding of your child’s point of need whilst also helping them get assessment ready for the state-wide minimum literacy and numeracy standards test expected to be in place from 2022.
In summary:

• Thursday 12th of August
• Unit 3&4 VCE/VET students sit VCAA GAT at school 10.00 am to 1.15 pm
• All other Year 10 and 11 students not sitting the VCAA GAT will have their normal scheduled classes
