Did you know that WSSC students have access to a huge number of FREE, high quality, VCE resources including live, online tutorials and lectures covering everything from subject content to how to prepare for and ace their exams?
Did you know that these events are organised and facilitated by VCE examiners, authors of current VCE subject textbooks, and/or young people who recently achieved very high scores in the VCE in their respective subjects?
What you can do as a Parent
WSSC Provides Year 12 with up-to-date information about the FREE, high quality, VCE resources that are available to them and any relevant events coming up via Teams and sometimes also by email. However, we all know what it’s like to be inundated with messages and some of these are bound to slip through unnoticed. This is where you can help!
We have emailed you a list of the upcoming, FREE, VCE revision lectures and tutorials our students can access for the remainder of the term, including the school holidays. This includes a one hour tutorial specifically for parents: “Support your Child through their studies”.
- Please go through this list with your child to identify any events that are relevant for them and come to an agreement about which ones they will attend, and how they will create a reminder for themselves to ensure they don’t miss out.
- Check back with them to see that they have actually registered for the event (they should have received a confirmation email from the provider), and again on the day of the event to remind them that it’s coming up.
- Even better, show your support by agreeing to register yourself in the one hour tutorial specifically for parents, “Support your Child through their studies”.

What you can do as a Student
- Check your inbox. We have emailed you a list of the FREE, VCE revision lectures and tutorials that you can access for the remainder of the term, including the school holidays.
- Go through this list to identify any events that are relevant for you.
- Follow the links provided at the bottom of the list to register for the events of interest to you.
- Create a reminder for yourself in your calendar, so you don’t miss the event.
- Check your inbox for a letter of confirmation (including instructions and a link) from the provider of any event you have registered for.
- Attend and, wherever possible, remember to ask questions about anything you don’t understand.
- Enjoy knowing you are doing your best to prepare for your exams and there is no need to stress!
