Dear parent/guardian,
Due to the postponement of the General Achievement Test (GAT) from Term 3 to Term 4, Wodonga Senior Secondary College will align its Term 3 staff PD to the rescheduled GAT day in Term 4 on Tuesday the 5th of October.

All students enrolled in a Unit 3/4 VCE and scored VET class are expected to attend Wodonga Senior Secondary College to sit the GAT. Year 10 and 11 students not in a Unit 3/4 VCE or scored VET will be asked to participate in an independent learning day at home.

Teachers will be participating in their own professional learning on this day and will leave manageable and meaningful work for your child to complete. If the GAT is moved again to a date later than Tuesday the 5th of October, we will communicate an update to the arrangements for the day.

COVID safe measures will be in place to spread out students sitting the GAT.

In summary:

  • Tuesday 5th of October.
  • Students enrolled in a Unit 3/4 VCE or scored VET, mostly Year 12 students, required to be onsite to sit the GAT.
  • Majority of Year 10 and 11 students will be participating in an independent learning day at home.
